Citizenship & Character Development

BYB focuses on cultivating model citizens who demonstrate exemplary behavior and fulfill their roles and responsibilities within the community. Participants are taught the importance of actively contributing to the well-being and improvement of their community, serving as positive examples for others. The program emphasizes key aspects of citizenship, including respect for laws and rules, community involvement through service and volunteering, and civic engagement by staying informed and participating in elections. It also promotes empathy, kindness, and respect for others, regardless of their backgrounds. Responsibility is a core component, encouraging accountability. The program also values education and lifelong learning, inspiring participants to pursue personal growth and knowledge. By embodying these qualities, the Citizenship Program helps build stronger, more cohesive, and thriving communities.

The Character Development program at BYB builds and enhances youths moral and ethical qualities, values, and behaviors. Our programs involve cultivating traits such as integrity, honesty, responsibility, empathy, respect, independence, and perseverance. Character development aims to help individuals become more self-aware, make ethical decisions, and positively contribute to their communities. This process is facilitated through education, mentorship, experiences, and personal reflection, ultimately fostering well-rounded individuals who act with integrity and compassion in various aspects of life.
